A patented support surface design with pressure-activated thermally active microclimate control, the first of its kind in the medical industry, was on exhibit at the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses’ Society annual conference in Philadelphia, PA June 4-5, 2018. Patent holder Ted Lazakis, Alpha Tekniko’s owner and CEO, demonstrated the mattress to skin care professionals to gather feedback and suggestions for applications and further development.
