Customer successes–with support from Alpha Tekniko consulting services

“Enriched” contract manufacturing means you’re never alone in trying to solve problems. As we become an extension of your manufacturing resources, we’re also available to work with your product development, tech services and customer support teams.

See if you can identify with any of the issues our other clients have brought to us:

A distributor of refurbished medical beds and stretchers wanted to offer support surfaces with a good-better-best product story and pricing tiers. Alpha Tekniko developed a line of foam healthcare mattresses and stretcher pads that suited the buyers’ budget constraints.

For a national rental company, we developed a separate, fully covered mattress layer designed for step-deck beds with their hard-to-fit configurations. The layer can be combined with a variety of rental air and foam mattress toppers, allowing all of them to be used on these specialty beds.

Invented an unique, compressible foam structure for use with retractable heel sections on acute care beds. The design can be added to multiple styles of healthcare surfaces, while maintaining heel slopes and overall safety of patients’ vulnerable back-of-heel areas.

Created a North American support surface product line, incorporating multiple models with market-appropriate features, sizes and price points, for a DME manufacturer headquartered in Europe.

Helped a key OEM customer win a VA hospital account by designing a separate external support piece that addressed specific patient mobility and ingress/egress issues with one of their bed models.

Helped a customer re-shore manufacturing from their Chinese factory, establishing a solid “made in U.S.A.” product line. With lower minimum order quantities and Alpha Tekniko’s just-in-time production, the client was able to match their rollout pace to their cash flow and make some important product design changes as soon as they learned about them in the field.

By turning around a specialized, high-performance surface prototype within a few days, helped a customer win a large prestige teaching hospital order, in the process beating several “national brand” surface competitors in a head-to-head comparison.

A distributor who wanted to expand their contacts beyond hospital purchasing to the clinical staff, came to Alpha Tekniko for an alternating pressure design that would surpass one of the market leaders. They got the order, as well as a stream of continuing business from the account–on the basis of preferences expressed by the hospital’s clinicians.

Over the course of several large DME company mergers and acquisitions, Alpha Tekniko helped the affected companies continue to service their customers while new distribution, supply chain and management teams were in transition.
